About Us
Doug and Gretchen Werner built First American Roofing & Siding on the solid principles of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. Having been in the construction industry for over 20 years, they saw a desperate need for property owners to have a roofing contractor that they can trust. In 2005, they devoted themselves to the pursuit of this vision. Their commitment to excellence caught the attention of the nation’s largest roof materials manufacturer, GAF-Elk, who after extensive screening awarded them the prestigious designation of Master Elite Roofing Contractor.
Doug and his wife Gretchen, a fourth grade teacher at Northern Hills Elementary, in Onalaska, Wisconsin, live on a small horse ranch just outside of Holmen, WI. They have three children and two grandchildren, all living in the area. Their son Dallas just recently returned home safely from his second tour in Iraq.
